The cake's at least 10% BIGGER....

......cause my kids are at school and there is no one here to lick the beaters (or "batters" which Stephen calls 'em, which actually, is more accurate)--or the bowl or the spatula--from the cream cheese pound cake I just put in the oven.

AND, might I add, it's just not as much fun since I'm not listening to them argue over who gets what...or seeing their faces covered in batter (and their shirts, too).

Wow.......I just got a glimpse of life as an empty nester (which is STILL years away for me). Think I'll have to rent a few kids when mine are up and outta here when I'm baking. I much rather have a cake that's 10% smaller.

Hmmmmm, or, I could just make sure I cook when Tad's around.

Mmmmmmmmmm, it's smellin' good!

Okay Mom, when were you baking a cake and didn't save any batter for me?! I demand a refund! Make wise choices (which means saving the cake batter for me next time, if you value your life ;)).

haha!

Do you really think it makes it 10% bigger?

We made brownies tonight and I told my son to get a spoon to lick the bowl tonight.
He said "So I don't have batter on my forehead?" rofl! Isn't that a funny picture!

Married to my college sweet-heart :)...three GREAT kids I'm not selling to the circus today...I LOVE to laugh (& smile often)...love to read & cook, hate to shop (unless the store is very small and doesn't leave me dazed and confused). I'm scared of flying so although I'd like to travel more, I don't.

I've been pleasantly surprised to find life in my 40s to be an amazing time of transformation & discovery--of self, others, creation and the Creator.

Here's a partial explanation for my Blog title. I think it'd be cool if they really existed.

A Pensieve is a stone basin.... [One] can extract his or her own memories and place them in the Pensieve, especially to relieve the mind when it becomes too flooded with information. Anyone can examine the memories in the Pensieve, which also allows viewers to fully immerse themselves in the memories stored within...

A Pensieve first appears in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire...
