The one thing I can't say "no" to
A kid selling lemonade by the side of the road.

This isn't the one I stopped at yesterday, it's big business compared to the one in my 'hood. But the expression on their faces is about the same--hopeful, expectant, eager to please.

The big secret is kids don't realize us grown-ups will pay whatever they charge. My cold-but-watered-down serving set me back just 50 cents, and I got to keep the real cup they used (did mom know they were giving away their little brother's sippee cups? lol...I'll return it, no need for those anymore).

Gosh, it brought back great summer memories of me doing the same thing with my sister and brother or friends. This was a summertime tradition. We baked brownies, too, and I'm quite sure we never recouped our investment, not financially anyway. But, oooooooohhh, the fun, the thrill of the sale! The satisfaction when someone stopped to buy!!

Hope this is one thing you won't say no to either...it'll make their day, but I bet it makes yours even more ;).

Oh my kids LOVE to have lemonade stands! They have so much fun with it. And yes, we will pay whatever they ask (cause we are suckers).

Thanks for stopping by - I will be back :)

I was born and raised in NC. Moved all over (CT,SC,GA,the hubby was in the Navy for 10 years).

Most recently I lived in Charleston, SC (if you hang out at the blog you will learn how much I LOVE CHARLESTON) but moved to Minneapolis, MN this past December (still following the hubby around just not with the Navy anymore)- umm can we say too much snow (and they called this a "mild" winter - I don't think so).

Ooooo, Cheeky, guess where I'm headed on Sunday??! :) ;) :O And I think it's one of the greatest cities in the world (headed to the coast, actually, but not without a stop downtown, too). What can I pick up for ya? Personally, I'm feeling the pain of your most recent move.

OOOHHHH I am Sooooooooo Jealous! (you have no idea)

If ya go downtown - stop by market street sweets (ya know by the market) and get yourself a fresh praline ....that is a little slice of heaven right there!

I always feel guilty when I don't stop! It seems they are always on the busiest streets and stopping is not easy!

The kids down the street give coupons for your "next visit"

Married to my college sweet-heart :)...three GREAT kids I'm not selling to the circus today...I LOVE to laugh (& smile often)...love to read & cook, hate to shop (unless the store is very small and doesn't leave me dazed and confused). I'm scared of flying so although I'd like to travel more, I don't.

I've been pleasantly surprised to find life in my 40s to be an amazing time of transformation & discovery--of self, others, creation and the Creator.

Here's a partial explanation for my Blog title. I think it'd be cool if they really existed.

A Pensieve is a stone basin.... [One] can extract his or her own memories and place them in the Pensieve, especially to relieve the mind when it becomes too flooded with information. Anyone can examine the memories in the Pensieve, which also allows viewers to fully immerse themselves in the memories stored within...

A Pensieve first appears in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire...
