You Move, You Lose
So, I kind of was creeped out to have tons o' pictures of moi posted here, so most of 'em have gone AWOL. No weird comments or anything, but I'm SICK of people IRL telling me "You need to be careful...you don't know what kind of whack jobs are reading your blog. YOU might have good intentions, but they..." and you can fill in the blank with your favorite axe-murdering, seriel rapist kind of scenario :/. So, here it is in summary, mainly so I don't forget.
I left this post 'cause it didn't have my picture, not by any intention of my own. I'm blog-impaired at times, what can I say?

Maybe it's because you're such a babe that you got all the dire warnings.
I haven't posted any clear pictures of myself, not because I'm a babe or anything, but because I've had negative experiences of stalker types as well as abusive comments left on my blog.
Also, I never post clear photos of my husband and daughter, just to protect their privacy. I guess I'm just overly cautious but sadly there are so many predators out there, you know?
I'm not posting any pictures because I'm in granny mood from Beverly Hillbillys

Sally, yeeeeeaaaaah, T H A T'S it.... So far, I haven't had any of what you've experienced, but when I NAIVELY titled a post "Foot Fetttttishes..." I got three anon comments that concerned me, not b/c of what they said, but b/c of the weird links attached. I changed the title and enabled word verification after that little exercise in stupidity. It infuriates me that you HAVE to be careful! >:(
Pamela, babydoll, I've got all the picture I need of you, just to the right of your comments :). You don't look like you're in a granny mood there, maybe Zsa Zsa from Green Acres, though.
And to your not commenting on Little Richard, I'm over 40, those (O&*(^% eyebrows have migrated south now! (that ought to scare the scary people away).

Yeah and about the whackjobs. I know. I think about that too. But hopefully I've muddled my personal info just enough to confuse the worst of the whackos.
I missed something. I checked out the celebrity-look-alike post as well as all the names listed. How on earth can you look like all those people at once?

Hang on! How can I be sure it's really you when you're wearing sunglasses? Do you ever get the feeling I may have trust issues?
I have only ever put old pictures of me up (as opposed to pictures of me old) and I would never put pictures of MDW or current pictures of ET.
It's not the crazies that I worry about per se, but let me give a hypothetical...given that we don't really know who reads our blogs, do you really want to be standing in a checkout line with someone who knows all about you?
Let's face it some bloggers reveal their innermost secrets on the understanding that they won't have any physical contact with their readers. Other don't care, but I do (and I don't even reveal secrets).
I'm a little paranoid about some creep reading my blog. I've gotten a couple of strange visitors and I am about one more weird comment away from deleting it all together.

This isn't the first time I've accused Robin of having multiple personalities :)
For me, the anonymity has more to do with the criticism of specific people. If they found out that I have an opinion or thought, or I struggle with this issue or that, or (heaven forbid) I spent $, I'd have to answer to them & I'd rather not.
You are probably wise to be "demure!" I don't post any photos of me on my main blog, but I've linked to a couple in my second blog... so any "weirdo" has to do a little work to find me.:-)
Speaking of pics, I've been meaning to tell you that I finally posted that MEME you tagged me for (ages ago). Can you spell b.u.s.y? It's been up for about a week. I turned it into a wee travel photo exhibit--in my sidebar under Chrysalis Cafe. I'll be linking to it in a post soon (when we go out of town) but I thought you might like a sneak preview. You just never know what you might find there!

I have a difficult time thinking a nutjob is going to stalk me based on a photo in my blog when Madonna is so much more interesting to be obsessed with. With all the high-profile bloggers out there giving out enough information to pinpoint their whereabouts on any given day, I sort of think there are easier ways to locate a person than through their blogs...like maybe through the phone book. But that's just my take on it.
Great photo, by the way! Although I don't really see the resemblance between you and Little Richard.
