In good company
Before I headed out for the day, I checked in with Everyday Mommy to see the results for the Writing from the Heart contest she hosted last month. Although I haven't read all the entries, I'm working my way through the list. If you'd like to be encouraged (and hear the testimonies about how children teach US about God), hang out there this week during your blogging time. They're rather diverse AND insightful.

My entry, if I'm not mistaken, had the most comments I've ever received on a post. It certainly was heartfelt, almost painful to write...but ultimately redemptive. A warm smile is curling around my lips right now as I consider the irony (?) of my most "challenging" child being the one who has taught me the most about God.... To me, :).

Good Morning. Thanks for stopping by today and again for the tag. I haven't been to Everyday Mommy but plan to go read what the children say.
As far as my tag, I'm usually a very strict rule-follower and my "deviation" from the "form" was my lack of paying attention. I actually thought "quotes" were on the assignment, so now we have another category for the Tagging.
Soups: Yucatan Lime is just a chicken broth soup with whatever type of spices you like and lots of lime. Posole has whole hominy in a light broth. I'll post those recipes soon because they are wonderful for the upcoming season.

Oh I can't wait to finish reading all the wonderful entries - yours included. I am headed there now to read some more. :) (Right after I take the link to yours.) Okay, I thought I was tagged in your meme, what happened? :)

Congrats on the Honorable Mention! That post was truly incredible. I'm hoping to get over there to read more this week.

Congratulations! I know it took a lot of courage for you to write that post. Your honor is well deserved :)

A well-deserved honor... I'm glad you risked to write it, posted it here (I remember!), then submitted it elsewhere. Congratulations!

Married to my college sweet-heart :)...three GREAT kids I'm not selling to the circus today...I LOVE to laugh (& smile often) to read & cook, hate to shop (unless the store is very small and doesn't leave me dazed and confused). I'm scared of flying so although I'd like to travel more, I don't.

I've been pleasantly surprised to find life in my 40s to be an amazing time of transformation & discovery--of self, others, creation and the Creator.

Here's a partial explanation for my Blog title. I think it'd be cool if they really existed.

A Pensieve is a stone basin.... [One] can extract his or her own memories and place them in the Pensieve, especially to relieve the mind when it becomes too flooded with information. Anyone can examine the memories in the Pensieve, which also allows viewers to fully immerse themselves in the memories stored within...

A Pensieve first appears in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire...
