Five Things You Probably Don't Know About Me
Kelly (Pass the Torch) tagged me, and since it's ever so short and sweet, by golly, I think I'm IT! Here goes:

1) I will not drink coffee with dessert. I might drink coffee FOR dessert, but NEVER accompanying it (I also never drink coffee with doughnuts, which for some, I suppose, is a version of morning dessert, especially if sprinkles are included).

2) Before I was old enough to gamble legally, I lost all the money I was given by my father I had gambling at a blackjack table in Vegas. Definite "buyer's remorse".

3) I don't recycle and have horrible guilt because of it.

4) I will buy something I don't need if it's 75% off. Although I HATE TO SHOP (which you DO know), I could easily be a bargain-shopaholic (I guess I am a recovering one of those :/).

5) Ugh...this one I despise...I finish only about 1/2 of the books I begin reading (hmmm, maybe this will become a 2007 Resolution....).

I'm tagging Karmyn since she could use an easy post while she's writing her novel (and before her mom tags her), Claudia because she could use a break in between all her class projects, and LCO, because she recently became a Blogging Chick.

I think these are GREAT! I was thinking I should have written more items like this. Of course, I have 95 chances before I get to the 100 I was supposed to write months ago.

yeah, yeah, I'll get around to 'em.

And I don't like to shop either. But 75% off. Well, that's hard to pass up;)

Thanks for playing!

Interesting revelations, I expect they provide fascinating insight into you, but I don't know at all how to interpret it.

Funny thing though, I posted a hastily done writing assignment for my fiction class as my blog entry this week (hopefully next week I can resume proper stories) and it has to do with ten things people generally don't know about Superman, written from his perspective. Oddly enough I think I made him a belligerent drunkard...

#6: and you don't mind if people pimp your blog...Giggle Giggle...
Just had a few minutes after traveling for what seems like all night and all day...maybe because I have been traveling that length of time. I don't recycle either and I have great guilt about that. I think that will be my new project for 2007. If you'll do it, I'll do it... a challenge?

Cheeky, I know, I know, my husband calls me a "complicated woman" :/.

Kelly, I needed short and sweet, and it was really kinda fun. Even though I'm not as smart as you ;).

JC, lemme know if you figure it (me) out...I'd LOVE to know exactly what it all means, too :). You made the Man of Steel into something, that's for sure (H A W T picture :D, and I think you made him a wildly sex-crazed...!). There, that ought to send you a few more readers ;).

Swampy, I've missed ya, and your challenge, gee.....scares me. But...I'm game if you're game (she says rather nervously).

LCO, take your time, you're still a "newbie" so you get a pass :).

ACK - You don't recycle? Shame shame shame.

I'll get on this in the next few days.

so, you saw I did this tag. Actually I undid it...
but that was the mood I wasn't in.

I compost, but the recycle comes to within 5 houses of us - and I'll reclycle more than alum. cans once they start coming down our street.

(ps. you can have my donut. Thats one of those things I never could handle)

Do you have curbside pick-up, Karmyn? Or do you have to work for it? I gotta work for it, and (she says sheepishly), I've been much too lazy for THAT!

Well, I'll try to overlook that you didn't tag me....sniff sniff.

Just to let you know LCO admitted something you must check out;)

My patio at times (usually) looks like a recycling center because I refuse to just throw it out with the garbage...so I let it build up. eventually, it does go to the recycling bin.

LOL! I definitely don't feel guilty about not recycling.

My Dad is sooo like #5 and I tease him about it all the time. I laughed outloud about your gambling. Great to "know" you a little better... I can relate to the recycling thing also.

You and my husband - how can you put down the books? I had to train myself not to finish a book when it is really bad. And I mean really bad.

Malissa, lol, I was giving you a BREAK!

Claudia, my husband is...a neat freak...it would LITERALLY kill him if we (I) let stuff pile up. Guess he's the ying to my yang.

Mike, guess you're not so green, huh?

LW, I HATE that #5 is true...and I'm related to a true (former) compulsive gambler, so I think I'm predisposed...MUST.NOT.GO.BACK!

Heather, I'm like that with movies...I'll sit there and watch one once I'm "invested", sometimes waiting and waiting for it to get better. Few, if any, have ever gotten "better" :/.

OK, I just love it when someone accepts a challenge...will be home December 3...we need a plan...you know how I am with lists...gotta have one. Possibly, we could do a post the same day about re-cycling. Whadya think?

it's all about the recycling - I recycle, therefore I am!

I'm beginning to think that we might be the same person...

Swampy, I'm getting nervous @ being accountable to you and anyone else who reads me. But, I swear, every little bit helps, right? I'm in if you're in. But remind me. Write it on your list ;).

LCO, LOL! Mmmmmmmm, tasty! you tree hugger, you!

Susan, toldja I had a crush on you from the beginning. But, really, I'm not a scary stalker blogger freak...I promise!

You are too funny. But then again -- I drink coffee as all day long beverage and it is not meant to drink with your desert :)

Married to my college sweet-heart :)...three GREAT kids I'm not selling to the circus today...I LOVE to laugh (& smile often)...love to read & cook, hate to shop (unless the store is very small and doesn't leave me dazed and confused). I'm scared of flying so although I'd like to travel more, I don't.

I've been pleasantly surprised to find life in my 40s to be an amazing time of transformation & discovery--of self, others, creation and the Creator.

Here's a partial explanation for my Blog title. I think it'd be cool if they really existed.

A Pensieve is a stone basin.... [One] can extract his or her own memories and place them in the Pensieve, especially to relieve the mind when it becomes too flooded with information. Anyone can examine the memories in the Pensieve, which also allows viewers to fully immerse themselves in the memories stored within...

A Pensieve first appears in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire...
