Huh?
I was looking for a post I started a while back and saw this one begun in July. The original title was "Pins & Needles" and now I have no idea what I was going to write about.

Durn. It stops mid-sentence. Now I'm on pins & needles wondering what in the world the "point" was going to be. Remember that scene in Apollo 13 when

Great. Now I'm going to have to drag out the movie and try and help you remember the scene you were referring to. (*sigh*) If only I had more time.

I suppose not having seen Apollo 13 I wouldn't remember any scene in it and therefore can say with great relief that I feel free of any tension from not knowing what follows :-D

I do have several photos and openings to stories on my blog sitting there waiting to be picked up again. Sometimes I look at the paragraph or two that I have written and wonder if I can find the right mindset to continue on where I left off.

you all crack me up!

was it when they said, "Houston..."
or, was it when Tom Hanks....
or, Kevin Bacon ...
or -- oh, forget it, I'll check back tomorrow & see if you found the key that unlocks your sensory memory.

Ha Ha Willowtree - that is how I felt about that movie. Don't hate me - but I wasn't a huge fan of Apollo 13 (probably because it was one of those huge movies that got TONS of great reviews, so I was expecting more from it then I got).

You mean the scene when they were freezing? Or the one when Gary Sinise gets called off the mission only to find out later that he's okay? Or how the one where Kevin Bacon has the messup?

...never seen it before ;)

Ok, get this...I'm pretty sure I remember the scene in question--it's was the communications blackout during the spacecraft's re-entry, the several minutes the crew was "lost" and Houston didn't know how they were doing...BUT I STILL HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I WAS SITTING ON PINS & NEEDLES ABOUT MYSELF! I was waiting to find out something, but...looks like it hit the black hole instead of the ocean :/.

Anyway, I DID like Apollo 13 (the movie), I don't remember it the first time around.

James, I know exactly what you mean. The mood's gotta hitcha just right to recapture those feelings you had when you chose it, huh?

WT...ok, you got a tiny snicker outta me :).

LCO, I guess I found half a key...and THAT, my dear, doesn't getcha in the door :/. It just gets your hopes up.

Karmyn, HATE YOU? ARE YOU CRAZY??? I'm deranged and demented because I kinda like it when people don't agree with me...not just for argument's sake, though.

Mike, I can tell ;).

Carol, I like to be a punny girl :D.

Malissa, I always tell people, "I used to be smart...and then I had kids...and giving birth to them apparently sucked out half my brain, too." (sigh)(and a weak lol).

"Remember that scene in Apollo 13 when the capsule was re-entering the Earth's orbit. There was a time in which the flight controllers lost contact with the crew and they had to wait to see if the capsule had survived. They waited,....They waited....They waited. They waited far beyond the expected amount of time. Sometimes I fell like I am in that kind of waiting period in my relationship with God....."

Was your post going to go something like that?

If you figure it out, please post the thought. I'll be on pins and needles till I hear, hehehe!

Love that movie, by the way. One of our faves!

Swampy, the expression was originally "in like Flynn" and referred to his sexual proclivity.

Hey I just put you over 20 comments, and I still don't give a rat's ass about Apollo 13.

Ummm, I'll be back later to comment to y'all's comments, but is anyone else thinking this is freakin' hilarious that I've got double-digit comments to a post about NOTHING? Seinfeld ROCKS!!!

Kevin...happy to see that little troll face popping in again :D. And, WHO KNOWS? I could've been on a spiritual bent, or I could've been waiting on a cake to come out of the oven...nothing is ringing a bell yet (but I'm pretty sure that was the scene in question).

Swampy..HA! I think your DNA requires you to leave more than one comment on most posts...which makes me smile. That and your profundity;).

Married to my college sweet-heart :)...three GREAT kids I'm not selling to the circus today...I LOVE to laugh (& smile often)...love to read & cook, hate to shop (unless the store is very small and doesn't leave me dazed and confused). I'm scared of flying so although I'd like to travel more, I don't.

I've been pleasantly surprised to find life in my 40s to be an amazing time of transformation & discovery--of self, others, creation and the Creator.

Here's a partial explanation for my Blog title. I think it'd be cool if they really existed.

A Pensieve is a stone basin.... [One] can extract his or her own memories and place them in the Pensieve, especially to relieve the mind when it becomes too flooded with information. Anyone can examine the memories in the Pensieve, which also allows viewers to fully immerse themselves in the memories stored within...

A Pensieve first appears in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire...
